Lat. augeo, Skt. vak[snull ]áyati, etc.):—increase, foster.ἀνδρὶ δὲ κεκμηῶτι μένος μέγα οἶνος ἀέξειIl.6.261; “θυμὸν .Il.17.226; πένθος . cherish woe, Od. 17.489; υἱὸν . rear him to man's estate, 13.360; ἔργον ἀέξουσι . . θεοί they bless the work, 15.372.
