A.-έδεξαHdt. (v. infr.): pf. “-δέδειχαPlb.21.21.3: (v. δείκνυμι):—lift up and show, exhibit, display, πύλας ἀναδεικνύναι display by opening gates, i.e. throw wide the gates, S.El.1458; “μυστοδόκος δόμος ἀναδείκνυταιAr.Nu.304; ἀναδέξαι ἀσπίδα hold up shield as signal, Hdt.6.115, 121 sq.; ἀνέδεξε σημήιον τοῖς ἄλλοις ἀνάγεσθαι made signal for them to put to sea, Id.7.128; [Μίλητος] Θαλῆν ., on a statue, Epigr. ap. D.L.1.34.
