A.taking up or away, esp. of dead bodies for burial, “ὀστέων” E.Or.404; “νεκρῶν” Th.3.109,113; “οἳ ἂν μὴ εὑρεθῶσιν ἐς ἀναίρεσιν” 2.34, cf. Antipho 5.68, Lys.2.7; “ἀναίρεσιν δοῦναι” E.Supp.18; in a sea-fight, “νεκρῶν ἢ ναυαγίων ἀ.” Th.7.72; “τῶν ναυαγῶν” X.HG1.7.5.
