A.carry up, X.HG2.3.20:— Pass., Din.1.68; esp. to be carried up-stream, or up the country, Hdt.2.115.
II. bring back, recover, οἰκέτην v.l. in X.Mem. 2.10.1:—Med. (with pf. Pass., Id.An.4.7.1 and 17), bring or take back or away with one, Hdt.5.85, Th.6.7:—Pass., to be brought back, Hdt.3.129, etc.; and of persons, return, come or go back, Id.2.107, Th.2.31; get safe away, escape, Plb.1.38.5: so in Med., ἑαυτὸν ἀνακομίζεσθαι ἐκ τῆς Φιλίππου συνηθείας withdraw from . . , Plu.Arat. 51.
2. τὸ Μηδείας ἔπος ἀγκομίσαι bring back safe, i.e. redeem, fulfil, Pi.P.4.9 (prob.):—Med., . τύχαν δαιμόνων bring it back upon oneself, E.Hipp.831 (lyr.).
