S.E.M.5.59; “ταῦτα τῶν ἡδυσμάτων ἀ. τᾀσθητήρια” Diph.18.6: “ἀ. μήτραν” Dsc.1.19:—Med., φάρυγος ἀναστόμου τὸ χεῖλος open your gullet wide, E. Cyc.357:—Pass., “τραυλὴ μέν ἐστιν, ἀλλ᾽ ἀνεστομωμένη” with mouth wide-opened, loud-talking, Call.Com.19; also, to be opened, dilated, “ἀ. οἱ πόροι” Arist.HA581b19, GA751a2; ἰχῶρες ἀναστομωθείσης τῆς “σαρκὸς ἐξέρρεον” Memn.2.
2. of one sea opening into another, “κατὰ στενοπόρους αὐχένας ἀνεστομωμένος” Arist.Mu.303a22; “ὁ Ἀράβιος κόλπος ἀνεστόμωται εἰς τὸν . . Ὠκεανόν” D.S.3.38, cf. Ph.2.475, Hld.1.29.
