2. rarely c. dat. rei, to be present at,φόνῳ ἀνδρῶν ἀντεβόλησαςOd.11.416; “τάφῳ ἀνδρῶν .24.87; cf. ἀβολέω.
4. rarely of the thing, fall to one's lot, c. gen. pers., “στυγερὸς γάμος ἀντιβολήσει . . ἐμέθενOd.18.272.
5. c. acc. pers., meet as a suppliant, entreat, supplicate, freq. in Com., Ar.Nu.110, Pl.444: c. acc. et inf., Id.Eq. 667, Ach.147, D.21.188: abs., περὶ τῶν ἀντιβολούντων those who supplicate, Ar.V.559; freq. in parenthesis, εἴπ᾽, ἀντιβολῶ, Id.Eq.109, cf. Pl.103 (freq. also “ἀντιβολῶ σεPl.Com.43.5, 173.3; also in Lys. 1.25,29, X.Ath.1.18):—Pass., to be supplicated,ἀντιβοληθείςAr.V. 560.
