ἀπέχθ-ομαι , later form of ἀπεχθάνομαι, Theoc.7.45, Lyc.116, AP5.176 (Mel.), Plu. Marc.22, etc.; for in E.Hipp.1260 ἐπάχθομαι is the better reading; and the inf. ἀπέχθεσθαι freq. found in codd. should be written ἀπεχθέσθαι, ξφ. ἀπεχθάνομαι.
