ἀπεῖδον , inf. ἀπι^δεῖν, aor. 2 with no pres. in use, ἀφοράω being used instead:—
A.look away from other things at, and so simply, look at, πρός or “ἔς τιTh.7.71, Luc.DMar.9.2, al.; “πόρρωθεν ἀπιδεῖνTimocl. 21.
II. look away from, and so, despise, Plu.2.1070f (dub.l.). (In later Greek “ἀφ-, ἀφίδωEp.Phil.2.23.)
