ἀπεῖπον , inf. ἀπειπεῖν, Ep. ἀπο^ειπεῖν, ἀπο^ειπέμεν, and part. ἀποειπών, i.e. ἀποϝειπών, Il.19.35, etc.: less freq. aor. I

I “ἀπειπάμηνHdt.1.59, 5.56, Arist.EN1163b19, but never in correct Att.:—Pass., fut. “ἀπορρηθήσομαιLys.22.14: aor. “ἀπερρήθηνPl.Lg.929a, D.33.21:—pres. and impf. are supplied by ἀπαυδάω, ἀπόφημι, and in Att. Prose by ἀπαγορεύω:—speak out, tell out, declare,μῦθονIl.9.309, cf.431; “ἀγγελίην7.416; “ἀληθείην23.361; “ἐφημοσύνηνOd.16.340; μνηστήρεσσιν ἀπειπέμεν (prob. μνηστῆρσ᾽ ἀποειπέμεν) to give them full notice, ib.1.91; “ἀπηλεγέως ἀποειπεῖνIl. 9.309, cf.
