A.“-καλύφην” CPR1.239.5 (iii A.D.), etc.:—uncover, “τὴν κεφαλήν” Hdt.1.119; “τὰ στήθη” Pl.Prt.352a:—in Pass., of land left cultivable by the Nile (cf. “ἀποκάλυφος—, ἀρούρας β́ ἀποκαλυφείσης . . αἰγιαλοῦ” PIand.27.12, cf. 27.60 (i/ii A.D.):—Med., “ἀποκαλύπτεσθαι τὴν κεφαλήν” Plu. Crass.6.
