ἀποχέω , imper.

2. of plants, come into ear, Thphr.HP8.8.1, etc.; οὐκ εἰς στάχυν ἀλλ᾽ οἷον φόβην ib.4.4.10:—Med., make to shoot,.ποίηνNic. Th.569(s.v.l.); χαίτην ib.658.
