ἀρτι?́-πους , ὁ, ἡ, πουν, τό, gen. ποδος: Ep. nom. ἀρτίπος :
I. (ἄρτιος, πούς) sound of foot, ὁ μὲν καλός τε καὶ ἀρτίπος, opp. χωλός, Od.8.31c, cf. Hdt.3.130, Them.Or.21.255c.
2. generally, strong or swift of foot, “ἡ δ᾽ Ἄτη σθεναρή τε καὶ ἀρτίπος” Il.9.505; “ἀρτίποδες καὶ ἀρτίχειρες” Pl.Lg.795d.
II. (ἄρτι, πούς) coming just in time, S.Tr.58.
