II. unsealed, unmarked, Hdt.2.38, Pl.Lg.954a, Hyp.Fr.4; = ἀφύλακτος, Hsch.
2. giving no sign: hence, unseen, unknown, Nonn.D.3.95, 5.232; unintelligible, ἔπεα ib.10.31.
III. ἀσήμαντοι τούτου ὃ . . σῶμα ὀνομάζομεν not entombed in this, which we call body, Pl.Phdr.250c, with play on signf. 11.1, cf. Dam.Pr.161.
IV. uncoined, “χρυσὸς καὶ ἄργυρος” App.Hisp.23,Pun.66.
