A.wheedling, wily, mostly of words, “αἱμύλα κωτίλλουσαHes.Op.374; “μῦθοςPi.N.8.33, cf. Ar.Eq.687; also “αἱ. μηχαναίA.Pr.208; “μὴ κλωπὸς αἴνει φωτὸς αἱμύλον δόρυE.Rh.709; of persons, “τὸν αἱμυλώτατονS.Aj.389 (lyr.), cf. Pl.Phdr.237b, Lyc.1124; of foxes, Ar.Lys.1268 (lyr.).
