II. rushing storm, hurricane, terrible as the shaken aegis, A.Ch.593 (lyr.), Pherecr.117, Aristid.1.487 J., Lib. Or.18.268.
III. heart-wood of the Corsican pine, Thphr. HP 3.9.3; in Arcadia also that of the silver-fir, ib.8; cf. “Ἐφ. Ἀρχ.1895.59 (Eleusis).
