2. serve, be subject, “τό τ᾽ ἄρχειν καὶ τὸ δ. δίχα” A.Pr.927, etc.; δ. ζεύγλαις ib.463; “τοῖς ἄρχουσι καὶ τοῖς νόμοις” Pl.Lg.698b; “ἡδονῇ” Id.Phdr.238e, etc.; δ. γαστρί, ὕπνῳ, λαγνείᾳ, X.
