A.his, her own, Hom., Pi., Dor., Thess. (IG9(2).250); not in Att. Prose (unless in A.Fr.350 the word is Plato's), dub. in Trag., E.El.1206 (lyr.):—τὸν ἑόν τε Πόδαργον his own Podargus, Il.23.295; strengthd., ἑῷ αὐτοῦ θυμῷ in his own inmost soul, 10.204; ἑοὶ αὐτοῦ θῆτες his own labourers, Od.4.643.
II. after Hom.(also v.l. Il.1.393, al.), of other persons,
1. as Adj. 3 pers. pl., their, Hes.Op.58, Pi.P.2.91, freq. in later Ep., as Batr.103, A.R.1.1113, etc.
2. in Alex. Poets, = ἐμός, A.R.2.226.
3. also, = σός, Batr.23, A.R.2.634, 3.140, Theoc.17.50.
