II. resting on opinion, probable, generally admitted, . τὰ δοκοῦντα πᾶσιν τοῖς πλείστοις τοῖς σοφοῖς, opp. to what is necessarily true (τὰ πρῶτα καὶ ἀληθῆ), Arist. Top.100b21, cf. EN1145b5, Rh.1355a17, al.; . διδασκαλία popular teaching, Gal.2.247.
