ἔσπον , aor. 2 of ἐνέπω: only in 2pl. in the formula ἔσπετε νῦν μοι, Μοῦσαι
A.tell me now, ye Muses, Il.2.484, al.; later ἔσπετε νῦν μοι ὅσοι πολυπράγμονές ἐστε σοφισταί Timo 1. (Prob. fr. ἔν-σπ-ετε (v.l. in Il. l. c.); σπ- (cf. ἐνι-σπ-εῖν) is the weak form of seq[uglide], cf. Lith. sekù 'say', Lat. in-sece.
