2. make abortive: metaph., φροντίδ᾽ ἐξήμβλωκας you have made a notion miscarry, Ar.Nu.137; to which Strepsiades retorts, εἰπέ μοι τὸ πρᾶγμα τοὐξημβλωμένον your abortive thought, ib.139, cf.
