ἐξαν-ίστημι :
I. causal in pres., impf., fut., and aor.1:
1. raise up,τοὺς θανόνταςS.El.940; make one rise from his seat, Pl.Prt.310a; bid one rise from suppliant posture, “ἐγώ σ᾽ ἕδρας ἐκ τῆσδε . . ἐξαναστήσωE.Andr.263, cf. 267; . τὴν ἐνέδραν order the men in ambush to rise, X.HG4.8.37.
2. make a tribe emigrate, remove or expel, . τινὰς ἐκ τῶν νήσων, ἐξ ἠθέων, etc., Hdt.1.171, 5.14, etc.; “ἄνδρας δόμωνS.Ant. 297; . πόλεως bid one depart from . ., Id.OC47; simply “. τινάςHdt.6.127, Th.4.98, etc. (v. infr.11.2).
b. challenge a juror, PHal. 9.5 (iii B. C.), PGurob 2.10 (iii B. C.), etc.

5. rise to go to stool, Hp.Epid.1.26.δ́, etc.
