2. abs., stand out, be prominent, Hp.VC1; “ἐξέχοντα ὦταCorn.ND27; ἐξέχοντα convexities, opp. κοῖλα, Pl.R.602c; τὸ ἐξέχον in painting, Philostr.VA2.20:—Pass., τὰ ἐξεχόμενα projecting panels, LXX 3 Ki.7.16(29).
