A.“ἐνέχριμψα” Il.23.334, Hdt.2.60 (v.l.-χρίψαντες):—Med., fut. -“χρίμψομαι” A.R.4.939:—Pass., aor. “ἐνεχρίμφθην” Il.23.338:— bring near to, with collat. notion of force, strike or dash against, τῷ [τέρματι] σὺ μάλ᾽ ἐγχρίμψας ἐλάαν σχεδὸν ἅρμα drive the chariot close so as almost to touch the post, ib.334 (so ἐν νύσσῃ δέ τοι ἵππος . . ἐγχριμφθήτω let him almost touch the post, ib.338); ἐ. τὴν βᾶριν τῇ γῇ to bring the boat close to land, Hdt.2.60; ἐ. (sc. τὴν ναῦν）“ τῷ αἰγιαλῷ” Id.9.98; “ἐ. τὸν ἵππον τῇ θηλέῃ” Id.3.85; “ἐ. ἐς τὴν γῆν” App.BC 5.81.
