II. intr., of the Sun or Moon, suffer eclipse, Th.2.28 ; in full, “ὁ ἥλιος ἐκλιπὼν τὴν ἐκ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ ἕδρην” Hdt.7.37; “ἐ. τὰς ὁδούς” Ar.Nu. 584.
