ἐλελίζω (B), aor.
A.ἠλέλιξαX.An.5.2.14, Ep. “ἐλ-Call.Del.137:— cry ἐλελεῦ, hence, raise the battle-cry, “τῷ ἘνυαλίῳX.An.1.8.18: generally, raise a loud cry, E.Ph.1514 (lyr.); of a shield, ring, Call. l.c.:—Med., of the nightingale, trill her lay of sorrow, E.Hel.1111 (lyr.): c. acc., Ἴτυν ἐλελιζομένη trilling her lament for Itys, Ar.Av. 213 (lyr., but punctuation is dub.).
