ἐμφυ^σιόω , (φύσις)
A.inspire, infuse life into, “τὴν ἀνάγνωσιν” LXX 1 Es. 9.48 :—Pass., to be inspired, τοῖς ῥήμασιν ib.55.
II. implant, instil into, “τὸ αἰδεῖσθαι ἐμφυσιῶσαί τινι” X.Lac.3.4; “ἐνεφυσίωσαν τοῖς γινομένοις ἐξ ἑαυτῶν τὴν βούλησιν τοῦ θεοῦ” Michel855.9 (Magn. Mae.) :— Pass., “μάθησις δεξιῶς ἐμφυσιωθεῖσα” Hp.Lex2; “ἵνα ἐμφυσιῶται ἑκάστῳ τὸ κάλλιστον” Charond. ap. Stob.4.2.24; “ἐμπεφυσιωμένη κακία” Diog. Ep.28.1.
