ἐμπαρ-έχω ,
A.hand over to another, put into his power, “τὴν πόλιν ἐμπαρασχόντες προκινδυνεῦσαιTh.7.56; μηδὲ τούτῳ ἐμπαράσχητε . . ἐλλαμπρύνεσθαι put into his power, allow him to gain distinction, Id.6.12; . ἑαυτόν τινι give oneself up as his tool, App.BC5.68; but ἐμπαρασχεῖν ἑαυτὸν τοιούτῳ τινί (sc. δείπνῳ) accept an invitation, Luc. Symp.28:—Med., “ποτὶ τὸν θίασον . . εὔνουν ἑαυτὸν -εχόμενοςRev.Arch.22(1925).64 (Callatis), cf. Ph.2.127.
