3. abs., to be a trouble, a nuisance, Hp.Aph.2.50, Ar.Ra. 708, Epicur.Ep.3p.61U., etc.: with neut. Adj., ὅσα . . ἠνώχλησεν all the trouble he has given, D.21.15: c. part., “τὸ δὲ μὴ οὐκ ἠνώχλει λέγωνX.Cyr.5.3.56.
II. worry about, fuss over,τὰς ἀρετὰς τὰς ὑπὸ τούτων ἐνοχλουμέναςDiog.Oen.25.—Prose word, sts. used in Com., never in Trag.
