ἐπα^ληθ-εύω ,
2. prove one's right to, τοὔνομα, τὴν πρόσρησιν, Ph.2.6, 263.
II. intr., to be true, genuine, ἐπαληθεῦον καὶ παγίως ἐνιδρυμένον ib.311, cf. Dam.Pr.31 bis, Sch.Pi.O.10.17.
2. . τῷ ὀνόματι use the name correctly, Plot.5.9.5; assert truly, Dexipp.in Cat.50.24 (Pass.); but οὐ γὰρ -εύει τῷ ἐξῃρημένῳ τὸ οἰκεῖον ὄνομα κατ᾽ ἀκρίβειαν the transcendent is not strictly entitled to its own name, Dam.Pr. 7.
