A.stretch out and hold up, τὸν τράχηλον, f.l. for ὑπερανα-, X.An.7.4.9; . τὰς χεῖρας, as in prayer, D.S.32.6, cf. Orph.A.ll.cc.; . ἐλπίδας τινί hold out hopes, X.Cyr.2.1.23 (Pass.).
