ἐπεισ-έρχομαι ,
A.come in besides, τινί to one, Th.8.35; esp. into a family as stepmother, Hdt.4.154; rush in and attack, “ἐπεισήλθοσαν τῷ Σίμωνι εἰς τὸ συμπόσιον” LXX 1 Ma.16.16, cf. UPZ13.19 (ii B.C.).
2. come in after, Hdt.1.37; “κατόπιν τινός” Pl.Prt.316a; and freq. in Att.; “τινί” D.H.Dem.8.
3. come into besides, c. acc., “ξένος ἐ. πόλιν” E.Ion813: c. dat., δόμοις ib.851 (nisi leg. δόμους）“; εἰς τὸ χωρίον” D.47.53; of things, to be imported, “ἐ. ἐκ πάσης γῆς τὰ πάντα” Th.2.38.
