A.that may easily be attacked, assailable, of fortified places, opp. ἄμαχος, Hdt.1.84; ἐκ τῆς γῆς ἐ. Th.4.31, cf. 35; τὰ -ώτατα ib.4; “τῇ τὸ -ώτατον ἦν τοῦ χωρίου” Hdt. 9.21, cf.6.133, X.An.5.4.14.
