2.. send to, “τοὺς ὁριστὰς ἐπιπέμψαι ὁρίσαι τὰ ἱερά” IG12.94; of the gods, send upon or to, [ὄνειρον] Hdt.7.15; “χάριν” Pi.Fr.75.2 (tm.); “ἔρως τινί” Pl.Phdr.245b (Pass.); esp. by way of punishment, send upon or against, let loose upon, generally of the gods, γένναν ἃν . .
