ἐπιτρίβω [τρι_], fut.

Med. in pass. sense, Luc.Icar. 33 (v.l. ἐπιτετρίψονται, as in Ar.Pax246) : —rub on the surface, crush, κἄπνιγε κἀπέτριβεν v.l. in Id.Nu.1376, cf. Ra.571:—Pass., “τυπτόμενον ἐπιτριβῆναιId.Nu.1408 ; ἐπιτριβόμενος τὸν ὦμον galled by the weight, Id.Ra.88.
