A.yield, give way, “τοῖς ἀπιστοῦσι” S.Ant.219, cf. Plb.4.17.8 ; ἐ. τινὶ πρός τι, of things, permit one to do.., Plu.Dem.2 ; “ἐ. τῷ ἐπιγράμματι” to be in accordance with.., Arist.Mir.844a1 ; ἐπί τινος ἐπιχωρεῖ πᾶς καιρός any time will suit, Ruf. ap. Orib.8.24.59.
