εἰλίπους [ι^], , , πουν, τό, gen. ποδος: εἴλω, πούς):—
A.rolling in their gait, in Hom. (only in dat. and acc. pl., Il.6.424, 9.466) as epith. of oxen, which bring round their hind legs with a circling or rolling motion, cf. Hp.Art.8; εἰλίποδες, abs., for oxen or kine, Theoc.25.131; also of women, having a rolling gait, Eup.161; also expld. sens. obsc., Anacr.164, cf. Paus.Gr.Fr.154; cf. ἀνελλίπους.
