εὔορκ-ος , ον,
A.keeping one's oath, faithful to one's oath, “ἀνδρὸς δ᾽ εὐόρκου γενεὴ μετόπισθεν ἀμείνων” Hes.Op.285, cf. 190, Orac. ap. Hdt. 6.86.γ́, Ar.Pl.61, X.HG2.4.42, etc.; “εἴς τινα” E.Med.495.
II. of oaths, “εὔορκα ἀντομωμοκώς” Antipho 1.8; [“διομόσασθαι] εὐορκότερα” Id.6.16; “ψηφίσασθαι” Is.2.47; “γνῶναι” D.18.249; “εὐορκοτ έραν θήσεσθε τὴν ψῆφον” Id.29.4, cf. 21.24; “εὐορκοτάτην <τὴν> ψῆφον ἐνεγκεῖν” Lycurg. 13: Sup., Lys.19.11; in accordance with one's oath, no breach of oath, εὔορκόν [ἐστι] Foed. ap. Th.5.18, cf. 23,29; “εὔορκα ταῦθ᾽ ὑμῖν ἐστι” D. 21.34 (v.l. ἔνορκα): so in Adv., “τάδ᾽ εὐόρκως ἔχει” A.Ch.979; “εὐ. θέσθαι τὴν ψῆφον” Arist.Rh.Al.1433a1.
