2. far-seen, of stars and light, Ar.Ec.2 (v.l.), A.R.4.1716; of places, commanding a wide view, “τὰ -ώταταX.Cyr.6.3.2, cf. Arist.HA628a11 (nisi leg. εὐσκεπῆ), Plu.Cat.Ma.13.
II. (σκοπός) shooting well, of unerring aim (as some explain Od.11.198), of Apollo, Orac. ap.
