A.to be well pleasing, “τῷ Κοινῷ τῶν Δελφῶν” SIG611.19 (ii B.C.), cf. LXX Ge.5.22, al., D.S.14.4: abs., Ph.1.102; “εὐαρέστησεν” it seemed good, it was resolved, IG14.757.8 (Naples, i A.D.): —Pass., to be well pleased, satisfied, τινι with a thing, Ph.Bel.55.23; τῇ νήσῳ, τῇ ἡγεμονίᾳ, D.S.3.55, 20.79; “θυσίαις” Ep.Hebr.13.16.
