A.well-wrought, well-made, of chariots, “εὐεργέος ἔκπεσε δίφρουIl.5.585; of ships, μία δ᾽ ἤγαγε νηῦς εὐ. 24.396, and freq. in Od., cf. IG12.74.27; “πηδάλιονHes.Op.629; of garments, “ἀμφ᾽ ὤμοισιν ἔχουσ᾽ εὐεργέα λώπηνOd.13.224; of gold, wrought, “χρυσοῦ . . εὐεργέος ἑπτὰ τάλαντα24.274.
2. well-done: hence in pl., εὐεργέα, = the Prose εὐεργεσίαι, benefits, services, “οὐκ ἔστι χάρις μετόπισθ᾽ εὐεργέων22.319, cf. 4.695; also “ἀθάνατοι χαίρουσι βροτῶν εὐεργέσι τιμαῖςMilet.1(7).205b (ii A. D.).
3. = εὐεργός 11.2, “τῷ ψυχρῷOlymp.in Mete.313.9.
