II. statement, proposition, comprehending both κατάφασις and ἀπόφασις (affirmation and denial), these being αἱ ἀντικείμεναι φ., ib.21b18, Metaph. 1011b14, 1062a6; “ἀναπόδεικτοι φ.Id.EN1143b12: opp. ζήτησις, ib.1142b14.
