A.spoken or that may be spoken, mostly with negat., οὐ φ. unspeakable, unutterable, ineffable, Hes.Sc.230, Parm. 8.8, Pi.O.6.37, I.7(6).37; “τὸ μὴ φ. μηδὲ ῥητὸν κάλλος” Plu.2.383a; pleon., “κάλλος οὐ φ. λέγειν” Ar.Av.1713. Adv. οὐ φατῶς, = ἀφάτως, Hsch.
