A.giving surety:—hence, generally, to be depended upon, trusty, φρούρημα, προστάται, σθένος, A.Th.449,797, Eu.87: c. inf., capable, sufficient,οὐ φ. εἰμι δύναμιν παρασχεῖν τοσαύτηνHdt.5.30; “λιμὴν φ. διασῶσαι τὰς νέαςId.7.49, cf.
