7. in making a request, “οἶσθ᾽ ὁτιὴ φιλῶ σ᾽ ἐγώ, κἀμοὶ πιθόμενος ὑπαποκίνει τῆς ὁδοῦAr.Av.1010; so τί πράσσει Φηλικίων ἀγαθός; φιλῶ σε pray, how goes it with the worthy Felicio? Arr.Epict.1.19.20; so perh. in Herod.1.66, πείσθητί μευ, φιλέω σε (but rather 'I speak as a true friend').
