γνωτός (A), ή, όν （ός, όν S.OT396), older and more correct form of γνωστός (Eust.400.26, 1450.62):—of things,
A.perceived, understood, known, Il.7.401, Od.24.182; “γνωτὰ κοὐκ ἄγνωτά μοι” S.OT58; [μαντείαν] ἐκ θεῶν του γνωτόν ib.396.
2. of persons, well-known, “ἐκ κάρτα βαιῶν γ. ἂν γένοιτ᾽ ἀνήρ” Id.Fr.282.
