2. Pass., of the horse, to be ridden or driven, Pl.Ion540e; to be broken in for riding, X.Eq.3.1.
II. c. acc. loci, ἱππάζεσθαι χώραν ride over a country, Plu.Cam.23; “τὰς ὁδούςD.S.13.88.
