III. Pass., metaph., to be brought to a point, ἐπὶ γνώμην, ἐλπίδα, etc., Plb.30.19.13, 6.9.3, Plot.2.6.1; “ἐπὶ τὰς αὐτὰς διανοίαςD.H.Lys.17, cf. Phld.Mort.29, al.: abs. (cf. “καταφορά11.3), ib.30:—also Act., have recourse, “ἐπ᾽ οὐθὲν ψεῦδοςId.Rh.1.159 S.
