A.bring down, esp.from the inland to the coast, “σῖτον τῷ στρατεύματι” Th.6.88; <ὕλην> ποταμοῖς κ. Str.11.2.17, cf. OGI132.10 (Egypt, ii B.C.), Hdn.8.2.3 (Pass.), etc.:—Med., cause to be brought down, “ὡραῖα πλοίοις” Pl.Criti.118e.
