κατασκεδ-άννυ_μι and κατασκεδ-ύω (D.54.4 codd.), Att. fut.
A.“-σκεδῶ” Antiph.25:—scatter, pour upon or over, “κατάχυσμα . . κατ εσκέδασαν θερμὸν τοῦτο καθ᾽ ὑμῶν” Ar.Av. 536, cf.PMagd.33.4 (iii B.C.); “τὰς ἀμίδας” D. l.c.: usu. c. acc. et gen., τὴν μεγίστην ἀρύταιναν ὑμῶν Antiph.l.c., etc.; “ὥσπερ ἑωλοκρασίαν τινά μου τῆς πονηρίας -σκεδάσας” D.18.50; κ. ὕβριν τινός pour abuse upon one, Plu.2.10c; “λῆρον κ. τινός” Luc.Salt.6; “ὅλας ἁμάξας βλασφημιῶν κ. τινός” Id.Eun.2, etc.
2. κ. φήμην spread a report against one, Pl.Ap.18c:—Pass., “ἡ φήμη κατεσκέδασται τοῦ Μίνω” Id.Min.320d; ὁ λόγος ἐν τῇ πόλει κατεσκέδασται (prob. l. for -σκεύασται) Lys.10.23; “τοῦ πόνου πλείονος -ασμένου τῆς σαρκός” Hp.Medic.7.
