b. rarely in Pass., of the person, to be accused, “οἱ κατηγορούμενοιAnd.1.7, cf. Luc.Tim.38 (s.v.l.).
4. abs., to be an accuser, appear as prosecutor, Ar.V.840, 842, Pl.917, Pl.Ap.18e, etc.
2. folld. by relat., declare, assert, “αὐτὸ κατηγορέει τὸ οὔνομα ὡς ἔστι ἙλληνικόνHdt.3.115; κ. ὅτι . . Id.4.189, Pl.Phd.73b (impers.): abs., make a definite assertion, Id.Tht.208b.
